CARING FOR YOUR EARRINGS
WHAT ARE GD'S MADE FROM?
Our earrings are made from polymer clay, which is a type of modelling clay that is made from synthetic polymers, resins, and fillers. Many of our earrings are finished with resin, to provide a glossy, shiny finish. The backs of all our earrings are adhered with resin. Our earring stud posts (the stiffies, if you will) are all 304 grade stainless steel, which are perfect for sensitive ears.

HOW SHOULD I CARE FOR MY EARRINGS?
Storage: Store your polymer clay earrings in a clean, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures. My favourite way of storing my GD's is using a Bon Maxie Earring Holder - I have two of the Maxi size ones... and probably need a third.
Handling: Handle your earrings with clean hands to prevent transferring oils or dirt onto the surface of the clay. Avoid excessive bending or twisting, as this can weaken the earring components over time. Be gentle when taking on and off your earrings.
Cleaning: Gently clean the surface of your polymer clay earrings with a soft, damp cloth to remove any dirt or residue. Avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners, as they can damage the clay's finish. If necessary, you can use a mild soap and water solution, but be sure to dry the earrings thoroughly afterward. If you get makeup on the backs of your earrings use of a gentle makeup remover such as Micellar Water on a cotton tip can be used to gently wipe away the makeup. Use a damp cloth to wipe any excess Micellar Water from the earring and ensure it dries thoroughly.
Avoid Water: While polymer clay is water-resistant once cured, prolonged exposure to water can still affect its appearance and durability. We recommend you remove your earrings before showering, swimming, or engaging in activities where they may come into contact with water.

Avoid Chemicals: Avoid exposing your polymer clay earrings to harsh chemicals such as perfumes, hairsprays, or cleaning agents, as they can cause discoloration or damage to the clay.
Avoid Impact: Be mindful of your earrings when wearing them to prevent accidental impacts or dropping, which can lead to breakage or chipping.
